SAN DIEGO – An Outdoor Heaven – Part – 1

San Diego is one of those places you reference to beautiful looking beaches, delicious food, amazing nightlife, and few attraction to boast its name. And then reality it is much more than that. San Diego is a quaint town influenced by both American and Mexican heritage. San Diego is known for some of its famous attractions such as Seaworld, Legoland San Diego zoo Safari Park, La Jolla Cove, and USS Midway Museum. It’s also a major naval base for US Navy. My trip to San Diego included a 6 Hour long Rd. trip along Highway 5 with stops in Bakersfield and LA. One thing is for sure the trip is going to be amazing with good weather, good food, and some good outdoor fun.

Legoland

Who has not heard of Legos? Anyone who has born after the 90s has heard are played with Legos. The whole attraction is designed to cater audience based on their common fondness for Legos. It’s one of the newer attractions in San Diego. Located in the northern part of the town called Carlsbad, it’s how you should start your San Diego journey. Primarily designed to attract kids, it’s equal fun if you are an adult and a diehard Lego fan. Kids’ rides, open free play Lego areas, a pool with slides, and lots of gift shops with eateries make it a fun place to spend a day. If you want you can even stay at the hotel adjacent to Legoland. We spent half a day enjoying the park and its food before we decided to head down south towards the city of San Diego.

Beach Bodies

Southern California in general is the host of many popular beaches. Almost 70 miles of coastline you’re sure to find a beach you’ll enjoy in San Diego. Some of the most popular beaches are Carlsbad, Del Mar, Coronado, Imperial Beach, Encinitas, La Jolla, Ocean Beach, Oceanside, Pacific Beach, and finally Mission Beach. Since it was getting late coming from Legoland, we decided to start the night at Pacific Beach. We reserved a restaurant that offered a good view of the sunset while sipping on a few cocktails. With the view of the ocean and surfers trying to find a way through the ways, it made a perfect end to a grueling day filled with lots of drive and Lego fun.

Seaworld – Part-1

Everyone has heard of Seaworld in San Diego. We started our second day completely reserved to uncover the mysteries at Seaworld. It’s one of those rare attractions which use millions of people to San Diego each year. It’s perfect for a day-long trip filled with rides, shows, and activities based around sea life.

Two of the most popular shows are Dolphin and Orca encounter. Where trained instructors make these amazing sea creatures do activities one can only imagine in your dreams. Be sure to not sit at the front if you want don’t want to get soaked in water.

There are many up close and counters you can sign up for which gives you one-on-one time with your favorite sea or land animal. From Otters to Flamingos to Belugas to Dolphins to Sea lions and to Killer Whales, you can have your choice of animals you want to interact closely with the help of a trainer.

We were just getting started with the Seaworld and there was plenty more to cover for the rest of the day. From the shows and the personal encounters, we were excited t plan the rest of the day to fully enjoy our time at the sea world.
